Les Emmans has written music for several different solo voices with various accompaniments including piano, organ, guitar and orchestra.

Canticle of the Sun (with guitar or piano)
A setting of the famous prayer of St Francis. Written for the composer’s wife after they had visited Assisi.
Seasons (with piano)
A “mini” song cycle setting of the Thomas Grey Poem “Ode on the pleasures arising from vicissitude.”

Baritone/Bass
Futility (with piano)
A setting of the Wilfred Owen poem.
The Voice (with piano)
A setting of the Thomas Hardy poem.
